How to equip you and yours with more "Self-Reliance"
to be ready for a new life...
No matter how crazy things get as 2012 approaches,
prospering through thick and thin should always be
your goal. To do more than just survive is to triumph
over the forces that could bring you down.
Hopefully the "unthinkable" will never happen to you
or your family. But in our age of financial turmoil, rampant Islamic fundamentalism, and the rising spectre of 2012, you and I both know this isn't a safe - or smart - assumption. Let's expect the best, but preparing for the worst. Pollyannas may call you paranoid and gloomy, but you've got a fire extinguisher in your home, haven't you? You may not expect a fire, but you never know, and you're prepared just in case. Same goes here: You never know when you may need to pull a few cards out from your sleeves to beat Mother Nature, out-of-control society, terrorists, or other threats. This is not the time to sit back and think others will take care of you. This mentality will make certain you're "taken care of" (in the 'take the cannoli' sense).
The greatest power you possess is your spiritual heritage and the most important tool you have is sitting between your ears - when you use them and act on them. Any worthwhile achievement in history has been the product of plenty of thought, care, and planning. Let's not underestimate your problem-solving abilities. New frontiers require pioneers and you'll have to rely on your practicality and autonomy, along with others like you, to thrive.
However, when you're all alone with no government emergency workers, neighbors, or
friends to fall back on, you can still get through the worst of conditions with a little know-how and determination. Never succumb to the mentality of dependency into which so many naive citizens have been indoctrinated.
Of course, all the thought in the world isn't going to do you any good if you don't couple it with action. Our advice is to get to work right now, start collecting the gear, one item at a time, listed in the Lyceum Studios Inner Circle if you don't already have it. Make this a priority.
Little by little as you go through the other tasks suggested, you'll become progressively
