Courage Cycle 7, June 18 - July 15 Boldness is to know the risks are great, but what's to be gained is greater. Recklessness is to gamble everything while understanding nothing. Sometimes in order to become the person you want to be all that's required is a little courage. Habits are powerful because they're ingrained. Every time you're brave enough to try something new, salubrious, effulgent, different or innovative, you're that much closer to usurping offending behaviors replacing them with permanent positive changes. Spiritually inclined individuals are notorious for "talking a good line" but not "putting it on the line." (Like politicians espousing noblesse oblige and the common good but think no rules apply to them and taxes are "free money" for their slush funds, but I digress) Do you have the courage to be what you say? Do you live your truth? Weaknesses can seem real and impossible to overcome and we may feel tiny and insignificant doing all we can to conceal them. This is the path of cowardice. It matters not if you've strayed wandered squandered or sinned, the truth resounds within: YOU ARE A POWERFUL CHILD OF GOD. But to believe it… this will require courage. To live it will require more. |
