A very well educated friend of mine asked me if Faith and Hope were not the same thing
while they may sound like the same thing they're not.
Hope is like wishing something will happen and not being sure if it will. Faith is a deep sense of knowing that what they want is not out of reason. And what they desire can be obtained by the proper following of the immutable laws of spirit.
Without the abilities of faith, we could not draw into manifest experience new forms based on previously undisclosed concepts. The concepts come from new applications of the vital ideas in infinite intelligence. Faith is the faculty in man's mind that perceives new concepts for expressing new and original creative ideas.
But faith does more than perceives new concepts. It is also the power of mind which is the activator that sets in motion the other faculties. These faculties form an original concept in a manner that successfully shapes substance to express whatever is needed.
So it can be said that one of your most important and distinguishing powers, the use of which is essential if you expect to obtain that which you desire, is your faith thinking faculty. Every one of us can use this mind faculty of faith. We are constantly using some of its power all of the time to shape good, bad, and different concepts into existing forms. However the sad thing is that even supposedly well educated people live a lifetime and never use it to obtain and express an original solution to confronting problems.
Maybe you don't use faith because you're thinking is conditioned with the second-hand concepts of your past, the dominant beliefs of our race, or you surrendered to the almost universal assumption that nothing much can be done about life's situations. In that consciousness, the mind is not free to express the faith thinking rewards.
Faith thinking is not merely an intellectual process based on reasoning. Faith doesn't need to compare, analyze, or draw conclusions from known premises. Faith is not bound by considering only appearances and is not biased by precedent. Faith thinking and knowledge is the connection of man's consciousness to the infinite awareness. Faith thinking is a deliberate effort to tune into the original ideas of the infinite mind in order to receive fresh solutions as to its plan to unfold wholeness into the universe.
Faith then gives form, without conspicuous objection or question to concepts that come from infinite intelligence. The effective use of the faith factor by any of us is built up through persistent and courageous elimination of doubt and fear. It is also build up by the continuous affirmation of the presence of infinite intelligence that seeks expressions through you. You've got to be able to see faith as an essential ability. It gives to you the capacity to become the inlet and therefore the creative outlet bringing forth a manifest expression of the ideas of infinite intelligence.
Faith and its power to make it happen is stimulated and activated through copious amounts of GRATITUDE. It's the grateful attitude in consciousness that confidently expects better and better and better things to come. This releases faith to produce solutions that can unfold your desires into a tangible manifestation.
